Men's Ministry Notes - Summer 2021

Around the Men's Ministry

  • Men’s Program Director Brian Butler related a story recently. “Well, I had one fella from Victory Acres decide to receive Christ while we were driving along discussing Jesus and his salvation. So I pulled my truck over on the way to town and we prayed right there on the side of the road which was really cool.”
While we do have an abundance of renewal program guests, we don’t have enough men to fill the jobs that we have available in Next Step, which is a great problem to have. In the past, our men have wanted to work, but couldn’t due to a lack of available positions.
  • As of this writing, all of our graduates are employed full time and doing really good and established in churches.
  • Hired Chris Cungtion as a Downtown Mission guest advocate.
  • Hired Chase Fisher as our Victory Acres Program Counselor.
  • Since January 1, we have had 45 men gain full-time employment and 21 move into full-time housing.
  • Going to a Chief’s game? Say hello to our guys. We have a crew working out of our Next Step program at the stadium and according to all involved it's working out well.
